Office setup

I have been working diligently to unpack my numerous boxes and setup my office for the past 7 days.  I like to be organized, so I'm very detailed about everything.  I clean the shelves and put things back on them.  I put some things in new boxes so everything fits perfectly.  I organize drawers so that all like things are together.

So, the question is, "Why do I go to so much trouble?"  I think that being organized physically helps me be organized mentally.  I always feel a sense of accomplishment when I walk into a place that I've just cleaned --this includes my house too.

I also know that my students will be in that room at some point and I want them to come into a room that is inviting and kid-friendly.  I have papers and pencils set out for them to use.  I have a drawer full of art supplies such as colored pencils, regular pencils, glue, erasers, etc.

So, even though it is taking me so long to prepare, it will be worth it in the end.

Oh yes, and I spent a long time yesterday getting my FIRST IN MATH PRIZE CART ready yesterday.  Bring on the First in Math!!
